KOREA
In 2003, the sisters desired to reach further afield in Asia to continue their growth. After looking into the Philippines, they were invited to the Republic of Korea. The DSH now have four sisters in Inchon, Korea and are working in the primary schools there.
Korea is a challenging environment for non-natives with a complex language and culture. Yet the sisters are committed to bringing the Good News to Korea through Catholic daycare and primary school. Currently, funds are needed to build a house for the sisters with an attached school. It is the dream of the DSH that at some point in the future North and South Korea will be united and many North Koreans will then be introduced to Christ through the rapidly growing Catholic community in the South. The DSH hope to have a welcoming cadre of Korean sisters when this day arrives.
